Publishing infrastructure

Own the stack.
Keep the audience.

Pyre is the publishing system for operators who refuse to rent their archive. Fast static sites. One content API. Many publications. Membership plumbing. Your domain. Your data.

Why Pyre

Built to be yours.

Simple for readers. Explicit for operators. Nothing proprietary between you and your work.

Your infrastructure

Node.js, Postgres, Astro, Caddy. Standard parts. Clear data paths. No locked page format.

Static-fast by default

Readers get plain HTML. The content API stays in the publish path — not on every page view.

Exit is a feature

Archive and audience are database records you control. Help is a service. Ownership is not.

Concierge beta

Preview first. Move the domain last.

Hands-on on purpose. Real publishers. Real cutovers. No demo theater.

Request access

One email. We learn your platform, archive size, and what “done” means for you.

Private preview

Content lands on a staging URL. Counts, URLs, and sample posts are checked before anyone touches DNS.

Cut over with rollback

Only an approved build goes live. The old site stays the rollback until verification clears.

Straight answers

What the beta is.

Self-hosted or managed?

Pyre is designed to be self-hostable. This list is for a concierge-managed beta: we run early migrations and hosting with a small group. Public self-host docs are a later gate.

What happens after I submit?

You are on the list. Nothing is provisioned. If the next cohort fits your publication, we email you to scope a private pilot.

Does Pyre replace my email provider?

The beta centers on web publishing and migration. Subscriber and newsletter needs are scoped per pilot — not assumed in the public offer.

Price or contract?

No checkout. Joining is free. Pilot scope and commercial terms are stated plainly before work starts.

Only Ghost?

Ghost has the proven automated importer. Other archives can be evaluated. The beta does not promise one-click parity for every platform.
